Syracuse field hockey (8-3, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) fell two places in the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Poll, released on Tuesday. The Orange dropped from No. 10 to No. 12 in the rankings. It is the lowest dip of the season so far for SU, who was as high as No. 6 in the second week of the poll.

Despite earning their first ACC win last Friday at then-No. 12 Boston College in a 3-2 double-overtime showdown, the Orange fell 6-5 against then-No. 14 Harvard on Sunday. BC and Harvard now sandwich Syracuse in the rankings, sitting at No. 11 and No. 13, respectively.

Syracuse now stands as the sixth-highest-ranked team in the ACC, behind No. 1 North Carolina, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Louisville, No. 8 Virginia and No. 11 Boston College.
